KARERE.

In accordance with the Aot, the annual meeting of householders at Karere was held on «Monday evening, for the purpose of electing a committee for the ensuing year. Mr. Robert Linton, the chairman of the retiring committee read a report of (be proceedings of the committee for the past year ; also a statement of the funds, which showed that all debts were, paid, but that now there was no credit balance at the bank. The elections' then took, place, with the following effect : — Messrs. Robert Linton (chairman), Keeble, Wingate, Sly, Row, Oharlet Collis, and H. Collis. An unanimous rote of thanks w\s pasted to the retiring committee for the efficient manner m which they had ditcharged their several duties during their term of office, and a rote of thanks to the chairman brought the proceedings to a close.
