Harris, Presideut of the Fire Brigade Association, Vice-Presidents Whifceford and Lightfoot, and the Secretary, Robertson, waited on the Premier and Mr. Rolleston this morning, asking them to take charge of the Fire Brigade Bill next Session. The Premier considered it would be better for the interests of the Association If the Bill be taken up by private individuals, and suggested that Government would see Messrs. Stevens and Waterhouse on the subjectBoth Messri. Hall and Rolleston entirely coincided with the principle of the Bin", and wpuld give it all their support.
