A "HAPPY" COUPLE.
TO THE EDITOR. SlB,— "A happy couple (Vide Manawatn Standard, Feb. 2, 1881,) were made twnin at the Registrar's Office this afternoon. The usual congratulations will of course be extended on the auspicious occasion by the friends of Mr. Hngh Osborne and' Miss Mary Brown." Very general (at least so we believe by the records of tho Divorce Court in America) and the. locality was evidently the Registry office in the Square, but we doubt whether the making twain should be considered " a subject for congratulation " or an " auspicious occasion " by the friends of the worthy Mr, Oborne or the fair Mary Anne Brown. Oui? friend the Registrar is cleanly to be congratulated on his new diamity. as Judge of Probate find Divorce. Were they happy ? and if so, why the divorce ?— Youvs dubiously, Mark Twaj>*. [We. presume the writer of the übove epistle is a man of '-' mark " in. the Twain farajly, and consequently takes exception to Mr. Keeling making a couple Twain, by a ceremony which certainly shoved not afreot the. names of both. — E». M. T.}
