[united press association.] HAWUEA, Wednesday. Mr Freeman R. Jitckson reports that the yards were filled with stock of all descriptions to-day, but bidding was rather dull, and prices for cattle [a shada lower than at the last sale. All were sold at or after the auction, with the exception of one pen of steers. Prices for sheep were good, all being sold except a pen of merino weathers. Cattle ; 366 head were yarded, and fetched the following prices : — G-rown bullocks, £s' lss ; atefes, £3 12s 6d ; cows and calves, £4 12s 6d ; yearlings, £2 7s ; eighteen months old, £8. Sheep : 1523 wore penned — wethers, 8s 6d ; ewes, 7s 6d j meriuo wethers, 7s.
