The company proposes to ask for power to acquire the native lands between Otaki . and the Manawatu, through which the line will pass, and should this power be granted to them, the promoters have reason to believe that the land, when acquired,' would Bpeedily be disposed of for settlement at a profitable rate. In view of this, the promoters are about to opeo negotiations with -the Native proprietors with respect to its acquisition. The concessions which the Government have made, and other particulars, are fully set forth m the prospectus, which can be obtained from the Secretary, or at any of the branches of the Bauk of New Zealand throughout the colony, and to which is annexed a form of application for shares.
