SURVIVIORS OF THE WRECK.
Tht following is a list of the survivors from the Tararua :— Passengers — G. L. Lawrence, J. Cbatterton, Gto. Robins, J Littler, Jno. Williams, Henry Dadby, Thos. Davis. Cr«w r- Robt. Lindsay (chief mate), Frank Deuny, John Wilsen (chief cook), Frank Rhbl, Thos. Dickson. In addition to the above, there are those who were saved m second mate's <b#at. Second mate (Mahoney), six men, and a steerage, passenger named Hill. The following are the names of the passengers saved r-i-Geb. Robins (Englisb), John Chattertos. (English), Henry Deely (English), GustayeZethu (Swede) John Williams (English).. Crew — R. Lindsay (chief mite"), Frank Dcuz (German), Thos. Dickson (Tasmanian), John Weston (Swede), Frank Robel (German), Antony Cnu!iffe (chief cook), Thos. Davis (Bnglish). The passsebgers saved are 6. Robins, G. L; Lawrence, John Chatterton, Henry Daley, Gustave Telber, J Williams, and Thomas Davis. Seamen — Robert Lindsay (chi«f mate), Frank Dtnz, J/ Dixon, John Wuton, T. Roba), and A, C; Cantifie. One dead body only has seen washed ashore, that of a well-dressed man, tall and dark, name unknown.
