To administer the will* of all persons. jwhb by appointing the Public Trustee as itheir executor secure the guarantee of the 'State for the due fulfilment of their wishes and avoid the risk consequent on the appointment of private persons as executors, jwho npt unfrequently, though earnestly desirbuiof acting for the benefit of parties interested, fail to carry out legally the Object* for which they were appointed, and. consequently involve themselves and those whose interests they are striving to j protect, m costly and harassing litiga|tion f . ;;;V ,. In such cases it is the duty of the Public : Trustee to discbarge all legal debts so far : the assets extend, and divid; the residue I amongst the next of kin.
