Toe beef wai of very f air quality, and some (f the sheep were first-class. Nearly (he w ole of rhe lots < fferod were quitted. The prices obtained for sheep and cattle indicate an. upward tendency, following are the quotations :—- --v Beef, £fi 12s 6d to £7. ' Thiee-yeirrold steers, £5. Dairy cows, £4 to £6 15s. Calves, from 80s. Yearlings, £2 7s 6d. Fat wethers, 9a to llg. Young ewes.jin lamb, 10a. Store wether^, ot 9d to 6s, Horses, only four were entered. No eale.
