MIDHAT PASHA TO BE EXECUTED.
It having definitely transpired that the report receive! oh the Bth that the sentence of death passed upon Midhat Pasha for complicity m the murder of the Sultan Abdul Aziz, has been commuted to banishment to Arabia— was incorrect, and that the death sentence is to be carl vied out, the British Government- lv;>s sent a communication to the Earl of Duffisrin, the Ambassador at Constantinople, instructing him to intercede with the Porte on behalf of Midhat, and to urge a commutation, of the sentence of death.
