DESERTION OF HIS CAVALRY. CALCUTTA, Friday. ■ Telegrams have been received from Canibliar, announcing that a battle was fought, yesterday between the forces of Ayiiiib Khan and those-of the Ameer, resulting m the defeat of the latter. One of the Ameer's regim?o«g deserted sod joined Ayoub Khan, and the rest ot Abdul Rahman's foce fled, after losing all the.gunß and bugpage. •Furlher telegrams from Afghanistan report that the b*ule between Avoub's and ihe Ameef's trooos was fought at Keroze'atta (K-it z ll! .ivar ?).• a short distance south of Candah?u\ Sinca their defeat all (he Ameer's cava^rv buve joined Avoub Khan, whose force has bfv?n matori.illy strengthened. The Ameer's garrison m tbe ci:y of Camiah-ir is reported to be very weak, and unable to offer any strong resist.-ince to Ayoub.
