OA.MABD, Last Night. When Augustus, charged with brutuplly ill-treating his wife, came up for sentence, Mr. Watt, tho 11.M., said ihat since the case, was, last befoi'o the Court, * tho matter' had been brought uudei' the notice of tho Government, and he had been called upon to make a' fulL report..' He would, therefore, send the depositions aud his summary report up to Wellington, and iv the meantime allow tho case to stand where it was. Senteuce deferred until Wednesday, the 7th of September.
