Sih,~l noticed a letter m your laft issue, signed " Matthew Hamilton, Karere " wherein he says he it charged' with falsehood, by Mr Row, and that Mr Row is supported by the Board.. He is r4iot surprised at this, at the *' gay " war ' all on one side, but the Board should have heard his "say" before passing judgment. Mr Hamilton forgets that the Board passed judgment up-»n his own words, as contained iv his better. Better late that never, and.if Mr Hamilton has ariv %v«h to support his statement, he bad better attend the next meeting of the Board, on the 23rd inst, when I will be very pleased to hear any charge Mr , l-lamilton has against me. He speaks of a suh.purchaser. lam not aware that such a thing was erer discussed by the Board. I fear Mr HamUton has "subpurchase "od the brain. He goes on to say, that the buah is standing on the ro d he forgets that the road has not been declared a Highway road, niore than three months, while £23 Is (5d has already been spent upon it, beside £1 8 14s 4d for the transfer, being nearly tne half of this Ward's rates, while Mr Hamilton pays the large sum of 15s as rates. .
