TO THE EDITOR.
Sir. — I "wa? njbt aware until to-day that there was a poet m Palmerston, and" I am glad to find from his most excellent effusion that Woodroofe and others rejoice at having got L3O instead of £35 15s and costs, which I presume they quite expected. I find, that Woodroofe has withdrawn the case against me,fearing doubtless the action for perjury, which I should have brought against him. If the FfJmerstdn people are content with having got only £30, I can but i|ay that I also am perfectly satisfied ; and I only hope that when Messrs Hankins' and Woodroofe's expenses, together with those of the Wellington lawyers are deducted, the balance that remains to be divided, may not occasion any diminution of their present exultation. — I am (Sir, yours Ac., - , • £ •■"■ E.G. Wilson. Wellington February 6th 1883.
