Mr Stipben placed hla hands on the part thit was ufßieted/'aiud , ¥ on- removing them after a few aecoutlg ' the patient sai; 1 he felt that the pain was jnearly gone. The operation wataepeafed, and the patient got un arid walked up. and down tbe room without his g'ickg* which he said be had not been able to do for some years, -r.k. Kibblewhite, .who was sufferiug from St Vitua daDcein every limb, and exhibited tbe ui^sc painful contortions, was next treated by Mr Stephen, wbo read oat a testimonial for the satisfaction of fad patient from a man who had been cared. of.a^similar coaipliiht of 60 years standing Mr Stt-pen placed one hand un the-, man's band, and with the-qtuer. hi.-- vigorously ruNbed the sufferer's back exhorting him at the same tide, to keep perfectly: still, a feat, that was impossible for him toaccouipiish. After the laying on of hands process had been continued «ome time, the patient walked about- the rooia and seemed to walk steadier,' although, it required all his power to dp so. The patient stood- on his feet for some 'timep and the exertion he put forward to keep himself steady bad some effect, although when he was out of Mr Stephen's cara he -r\ 'lapsed into the same condition, a* before, aad the attempt to cure him waV a striking failure. The grand -ddughter of the previous patieut was treited for paralysis, but with a like result. •
