TT7RITTEN TENDERS will be V V received at this office lip to noon on Tuesday, 17th April, 1883 for Ism ■ supply and delivery of 100,000 Sleepers, or for any smaller number not less than 10,000, to be delivered to extent as follows, at the different places mentioned below : — Waikari, 20,000 ; Christehuwh, 10,000; Timaru, 10,000; Dunedin, 15,000; Kelso, 10,000 j Invercargill, 10,000; and alongside railway .line Kiverton to Orepnki, 25,000. They are'to be addressed to the Hon the Minister for Public Works, Dunedin, i and marked, "Tender for Sleepers, Middle Island Railways," on outside j of envelope. Telegraphic Tenders, j similarly addressed and marked, will be received if pi'esented at any Telegraph Oflice by noon of the same date, provided that written tenders in clue form are lodged at a District or liesident Engineer's Office by the same hour. Specifications may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Auckland, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill ; and at the Post Offices, Palmerston North, Ilavelock, Tapanui, and Ttiverton.
