TTTRITTE^" TENDERS will be VV received at this office up to noon on Tuesday, 17th April, 1883 for the supply and delivery of 100,000 Sleepors, or for any sraaller number not less than 5,000, to be delivered to extent as follows, at the different places mentioned below : — Waikari, 20,000 ; Christchurch, 10,000; Timaru, 10,000; Dunedin, 15,000; Kelso, 10,000 ; Invercargill, 10,000 ; and alongside railway line Riverton to Orepuki, 25,000. They are to be addressed to the Hon the Minister for Public Works, Dunedin, and marked, " Tender for Sleepers, Middle Island Railways," on outside of envelope. Telegraphic Tenders, sinailai'ly addressed and marked, will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by noon of the same date, provided that written tenders m due form are lodged at a District or Resident Engineer's Office by the same hour. Specifications may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Auckland, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercai'gill ; and at' the Post Offices, Palmei'ston North, Havelook, Tapanui, and Riverton. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Manchester Road Board proposes to construet 1 the following roads, or part thereof within the Manchester Road District under the provision of the < Roads and Bridges Cbnstrnetion ' Act, 1882, relating to District Roads viz;— 1 Ashurst and Bunnythorpe, "Whibley's Pohangina Mangaone, Junction, Valley and Midland, Wilsons, Ulysses, Jones, Makara, Bunnythorpe, Spur and Taonui Roads.
