(Per Pi i fli Association.) Napier, This Day. Joseph Healy, a weii known arover, lost his life under peculiar circumstance s on Sunday. Di ceased and two others were engaged n crossing a mob of nheep over the \\';.ipawa river. It was a bitterly cold day, and a high wind was blf wing. The sheep were exceedingly ■ troublesome, many of them having to be carried. The men jpere working from 5.30 a.m. to 3-30. p,m M before the last of the sheep were got over. Decersed then' fell exhausted into the rjrer, the circulatory system of the lower half of the body being quite congested, le was carried to the hotel m Waipawa' and medical assis'ance instantly obtained whh no avail, Healy succumbing at 8.30 p.m. Deceased was a sober and steady man.
