ly the Legislative Council the other day, m reply to a question as to whut Government proposed to do regarding the projected reform of the Legislative Council, the Premier reminded the questioner, that nothing was said by the Governor m the Speech as to bringing m a Bill this session. Neither had he (the Premier) stated m his remarks during the debate m reply to the Address that the Government inreijded bringing m a Bill this session dealing with the proposed reform. What he did say was that the Government, beliftving that the time for reform had arrived, hoped that the subject would be considered by the conntry, with a view that at the next general election a distinct understanding on tho point might be arrived at.
