Her stern frame is broken nine inches below the base ; .-the keel piece is also broken, sii feet of it being gono ; two feet of the stern post is broken off ; and 43 feet of the keel showing garboard streaks on both sides, are twisted. On the tarboard side amid are several large dents, and some rivets ai-e started. Abreast on the port side are several smaller dents One blade of the propeller is broken right off, and the three others are broken. No damage has been done forward. The damage is estimated to entail an expenditure of L 4,000 for repairs, which will take two months to accomplish.
