Opunake, This Day, William Clark, hotel keeper, late of Wellington, and formerly of Blenheim and Picton, shot himself through the heart this morhirj£ : He bad agreed last night' with'Middleton Bros., from whom he had pur« chased the hotel five mouths ago to give back possession. An agreement was drawn up to that effect. Clark appeared m good sspir ts this morn* ing and was working m the : st©jre room, whilst one of the m^n helping him went to fetch a tomahawk h» shot himself through the heart.
