Mr G-i M. Snelson reports as follows:---—The cattle sale at tbe .Fitzherbert j Yard' on Saturday was fairly attended. Tbe bidding was spirited throughout, and the work of the -auctione-'j* was iendeied very light— The following prices were' realised : — Medium fat wt-athers, 12s 9d ; fat bullocks, £7 5s to £8 ; 2 year steers, £3 7s 6d to £3 15« ; yearlings, 30s. Messrs Halcombe & Rherwill report: —At our stock sale on Friday at Feilding the attendance was large and bidding fairly brisk. The prices renlised were as follows : — Beef (cows), L 4 10s; beef (huliocks), L 6 12s 6d ; three Wear old steers, L 4 2s 6d to .L 4 sa ; three* year.old beifer9, L 2 5s to L 2 10s; cows,L 2 6.8 to £3 ; UJ to L 2 15s ; yearlings, LI 15s to L 2; calve 9, Ll ss;; fat e^es, 11s 6d offered but refused ; fat wethers, 13s : store wethers, 10s 9d ; hoggets, 5s 9d ; hacks L 3 to L 7, indifferent quality^; The number of cattle yarded was 234 ; sheep, 417. -
