The Manawatu He laid says :— We learn that no stock will be sent to the Show at Wanganui this year from either the Oroua Downs estate or the Moutoa estate. As a number of first class exhibits m the sheep and cattle line comprising some of the finest stock iif the colony, have always been sent hitherto from these two estates, the decision not to exhibit is to be regretted. The main rsasons for non-ex-hibition of the stock are the difficulties incidental to the conveyance of the animals to the Show, and the little lack of encouragement given to do so. Never Eetden. — It is oaid that one out oE every four real invalids who go to foreign countries to recover health never returns, except as a corpse. The undertakers, next to the hotel-keepers, have the most profitable business. This excessive mortality may be prevented and patients saved and cured under the care to friends and loved ones at home, if they will but use Hop Bitten m time*
