Death of Mr. S. Levy.
[) Our telegiams to«day record the M sudden death at Blenheim of Mr. r Solomon Levy, one of the oldest s ! settlers of Wellington. Me Levy, I-, who was well known throughout the whole of the Wellington provincial : district, for a number of yeart . past > held a responsible position m the ' Wellington Corporation offices with ' credit, and was always held m the ■ highest esteem by all who knew him. His family, who are mostly settled m life, all hold good positions, 1 amongst^them Mr A. Levy, of +this district. ,He was connected by marriage with Mrs Snelson of this town. It appearb Mr Levy was taken yery ill at the Synagogue, m Wellington, on the 11th inst; when m attendance and it was thought that a change of air would do him good. He therefore went on a visit to his daughter at Blenheim, Mrs Ballard, who is married to a brother of Mr Ballard, of this town. While there he died. The late Mr Levy was a man of kindly and genial disposition, and his strict integrity m positions of trust secured for him the highest respect. He leaves a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives, who will mourn his loss, as his death will make a gap m a large circle of j friend* th*t 4#*nu?i be fiUedy (
