Eeuter's Telegrams. j Melbourne, Nov. 1&. Messrs 0. S- Ross and Co., of this city, report the sale of a cargo of kauri timber, ex Stanley, at the following average prices : — At per 100 feet super. : Hewn logs, lls 6d ; sawn flitches, 14s 6d ; sawn boards, lin., 20s 3d ; ditto, l£ to Sin., 20s. The market is depressed. The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) reports of the local grain market as follows : — Wheat, 4s Sd to 4s 4d ; there is more demand at a slight improvement. Malting barley, 4s to ss; prices are nominal. New Zealand oats are m fair demand at 2a 9d to 3s for feeding, and 3s Id to 8s 2d for milling sorts. New Zealand oats, under bond, are slovr of sale at 2s to 2s 4d.
