Parcels and Goods for all Roadside Stations, Platforms, and Private Sidings must ; be pre-paid. and will be put out on the Platforms of those stations at the risk of the consignee. - Parcels and Goods from all Roadside Stations, Platforms, and Private Sidings can be made' to pay at Wanganui, Aramoho, Waitotara, Waverley, Manutahjj PateA, Fordell, Turakina, Marton, Greatford, Hat combe, Feilding, Palmerston, and Foxton ; and at New Plymouth, Bentry Hill,Waitara, ' Inglewood, Stratford, Normanby,"! and Hawe.'a. The Railway Department does not pledge itself to the despatch or; arrival of the Trains at the exact time : notified m the above Tables, and m the event of any circumstances arising either during or prior to the journey being made, which may render it impossible or inexpedient for the Train to proceed, will return the fares paid, but does not undertake tq forward the Pasaen. gera. Any Passenger getting into a train at a Booking Station without a ticket, will be charged one shilling m addition to the or« dinary fare. : LUGGAGE.— Each passenger is allowed to t»ke 1 1 21 bof PERSONAL luggage (NOT INCLUDING MERCHANDISE of any kind) and for every 561 b above this weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 miles, ] the charge will be One Shilling. No lugI gage will be allowed to be taken into the 1 Carriages, unless of such a size that it can I be placed under the seat without inconven- ■ ience to other Passengers. Passengers are Btrongly recommended to have their Names and the Station to whioh they are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggago and to satisfy themselves that it is placed upon the Train, as the Railway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for. Passengers can be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room m the Train. Children under three years of age travel free ; over three and under twelve years of age, half-fare. HORSES, CARRIAGES, &c— The Rail, way Department does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any par» ticular Train ; but when sent they cust be at the Forwarding Station half.an-hour before the departure- of the Train. Th;e owners of Horses must provide means of j securing them m the Horse-box, and the J ailway Department will not be accountable for any injuries sustained through ' their breaking loose or otherwise., nor will it . undertake to carry .unbroken or vicious Horses. At Country. Stations requisitions! for Horse-b ues or Carriage-trucks nn<t be made the day before they are wanted. 1 > DOGS must be provided with chains, I or other sufficient means of securing them.
