The Druid Meeting.
The meeting to form a Druid's Lodge z was held last night, at the Commercial ' . Hotel. There was a fair attendance* < • Mr W. K. Bishop, P.D.P. and ::■> representative of the Grand Lodge of' .- Australia, attended and explained the , ; principles of the Order. It war" resolved, on tbe motion of Mr Wood* A seconded by Mr Stratford,; that the necessary steps be taken to establish a Lodge of Druids m Palmerston Northv a working committee consisting of Messrs Wood, Walkley, Bentley, Akew* Stratford, Daubeney, •Griggvl ;,aii{lA - Lynch was appointed to canvass 'the town and district for intending members, and to arrange for the services of • medical man and a suitable room to hold the m etmgs. Mr Grigg was appointed hon. |s cretary,'an6J:Mr I Wood treasurer. It was resolved that the Lodge be opened at as caily a;datean; po sible, m readiness J fori the rijtuni J ,„. date of Mr Bishop reaching Palaijprston North, the exact date- of opening to be duly notified.
