TO THB EDITOB. Sib, — I would not again trespass upon your valuable space, bat that I see no improvement seems likely to take place m what I wrote about. The same set of drunken men roll about the Square, or are dragged home by their friends. Tbeir names are well known, for it is notorious that certain men here are habitual drunkards, who never enter a hotel but they leave it drunk. I have been told that your contemporary states that the Good Templars here deny writing my let* ters. Of course they could not do otherwise, as they did not wrub them ; but had I been asked I as a Good T., and one who glories m the great work we have m hand, would have admitted being the author of my letters, as oui* cause is a noble one, andf well deserving of unflinch<i ing support from all who bave taken our solemn obligation. I pity the poor drunkard and his wife and children, and if my fellow Good Templars show the white feather of cowardice m this way, I cerr tairily will not, present; my clearance card to join the Phoeniic Lodge, as I am used to " stand to my guns," as our W.0.T., now no more, uned to say at Home.
