In the Matter of the Public Works Act, 1882. NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Manawatu County to execute a certain public Work under the prow visions of the Public Works Act, 1882. To Wit, the construction of a County read through certain Blocks of Land known as Blocks 1. and V., situated m the Kairanga Survey District, m t^e Provincial District of Wellington, the land to be taken being part of the section No 346 m the said Survey District, ani also through Blocks Nos V. and VIII., m the Kairanga and Te Kawa Survey Districts, m the said Provincial District, the land to be taken being another portion of the said Section No 346, and for the purposes of the said Public )\i^pr^ the Land described m the schedule hereto is required to be taken ; and notice is further given that a copy of the plan of the said Road, and of the Land so required to 6b .taken, is deposited at the Public Pest Office at Awahuri, m the County aforesaid and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours. And notice is further given that all persons affected by the execution oi the said Public Work, or by the taking of the said Lands, shall, if they have any well grounded ob* jections to the execution of the said j Public Work, or to the taking of the said Land, set forth the same m, writing and send such writing within forty daysfrom the first publication of this notice to " The Chairman, Councillors and Inhabitants of the Manawatu County," aforesaid, , at their offices aforesaid, m Liddell Street, m the Town of Foxton, aforesaid. . . All that piece or parcel of Land, containing by admeasurement four* teen acres, one rood, and twenty^ flight perches, more or less, situate m the Kairanga Survey Districts, Blocks I. and V. Provincial District of Wellington, being portion of section No/ 346, commencing at a point distant 152.7 links m a N. W. direction f rom, the. north-eastern corner o? the property of Mr T. Fraser, part of section No 846 ) thence south-westerly through the property ! of Mr Thoo. ; Fraser; section No 846, for a distance of 1097 links, thence a S.W^ direction alpng .the, bo un- j dari.es ; of! Mr'Tf Fraser and Mi'A. j McDonald's section, No. 346, for a distance of 13,348 links, thence m a S.E. direction ailbng the boundary of the Douglas Block for a distance of 105.6. Jinks, thence N.D. 18,324 links through the property of Mr A. McDonald, section No. 346, thence N.B. 359.2 liuks through the pro* perty of Mr T. Fraser; section No. 346, and N."W. 1027 links to the commencing point. And also, all that piece or parcel of land, oon* taining by admeasureraenb nine acres, two roods, and seven perches, more or less, situated m the Kai» ranga and Te Kawa Survey Districts, Blocks IV. and V. m the 'Provincial District of Wellington, being portion of section No. 346, commencing at a point m a S.W. direction 11.878.3 links fiom< commencing poiiit of No. I, thence m a N.W. direction through the* properties of Mr T. Fraser and Mr A. McDonald, section No. ,846, for a distance of 9,541.5 links, thence north-easterly 100.7 links on Western Boundary of Section No, 346, thence S.E, 9,549,8 links, through the property of Mr T.Fraaer and A. M'Donald, section Nos 346, and southwesterly 101.7 links to commencing point.
