Canon "Westcolt, who preached the sermon at the consecration of Bishop Barry, m reference to the ceremony expatiated upon the pe_u* liar fitness of Dr Barry for the office to which he has been chosen. Arrived at Plymouth to-day, P. and O. steamer Thames, from Melbourne, Nov 8, also Orient steamer, Chimborazo, from Melboarne, Nov 17. San Francisco, Dec 31. The steamship Zealandia, with the homeward mails dated Auckland, Dec 12, arrived here yesterday. Melbourne, Jan 2. Sailed, this afternoon, Union steamship Te Anau, for Bluff, Paris, Jan 2. The trial of the Marquis De Rays on charges of fraud and deception m connection wit, the N w Ireland expedition concluded to-day, when the prisoner was found guilty and sentenced to four years urprisoament. and to pay a fine of 3000 francs. The associates of the Marquis were also found guilty and sentenced to shorter terms of imprisonment, and fined m the same amount,
