The Alexandra Cavalry.

' Some interesang particulars of the proposed visit of the Alexandra^ jQa-y valry to the Wellington Easter Encampment were given, by Captain. Sommerville on Saturday last. It is proposed that the' troops' and horses shall proc««d to Foxton by special j train, and^fter an hour or tw6 for ! dinner and rest; ride on to Otaki the same night. Pahautanui would be reached. the second day, and Welling-, ton the third/, the journey eachiiwayU to and from Wanganui, thus occupying three days. The Encampment will last another three, days, . so the Alexandras would be away from home nine days altogether. Their ■ baggage would be sent on by steamer to Wellington at small cost, and Captain Anderson, of the Defence' Department, has undertaken to see that on its arrival it is duly taken up: to' the Cavalry camp.
