WAIRARAPA JOCKEY CLUB.
[By Telegraph.] Per Press Association. Carterton, This day. A meeting of the Wairarapa Jockey Club was held yesterday. Messrs J. P. Eussell, John Drummond, and W. 0. Buchanan were elected trustees of the new course at drey town, The disqualification forwarded from the Dunedin Jockey Club of Jasper, his owner and the jockey, by the Ijumsden Jockey Club, was endorsed, The Champagne Stakes for 1885 was fixed at £160, being an advance of £60 on this year. The Pistrict Produce for 1887 is raised to £200, an advance of £75, Both races inolude £255 to the breeder of the winner; L 25 to second horse, and LlO to the third. Gabble and Shamrook were declared ineligible to race at the autumn meeting, having run as hacks since the passing of the rule last May, which debars racehorses from running for hack races and aftewards being engaged as racehorses,, The nomination fees are to be returned.
