Arrival of the British Queen.
Per Press Association. WeliiLgton, February 17. The New Zealand Shipping Company s chartered steamer British Queen, Captain Willis, arrived from London via St Vincent at 10 o'clock this morning. The passage, which has been a most unevent* ful one, occupied 49 uays 7 hours, inclusive of the three days' detention at St. Vincent, She brings 321 passengers for all the ports, including 252 Government immigrants, The health of the passengers throughout has be<n excellent, and only two deaths occurred. The were of infants. No complaints have been made by any of the passengers Dr Hushand who came out m charge of the immigrants, proceeds to L)ttleton, and goes Home m the Doric. Captain Willis is a brother to Captain Wil is of the j-teamer Wakatu, trading between here and Lyttlctm. One man named W iliiam Kobertson has been arrested on a charge of embezzling stores during the
