Spiritualism.

To the Editor. Sir, — Mr Monrad has no more to say on this subject. A lew words by way of explanation I deem necessary. . Mr M has referred me back to his first letter, which he presumes I did not understand. The perusal of my reply should convince him to the contrary. I have not indirectly or otherwise inferred that Mr Monrad struck the first blow m this controversy. He simply followed up the discussion commenced by " Lover of Belevation," from- whom we have not since beard. Mr Monrad evidently regrets having gone into the subject. I am not sorry myself, that the subject has . been opened np. I am nevertheless of opinion, that the columns of a newspaper are not suited for prolonged discussions of this nature. I have, I trust, proved my case, so far. I trust that the controversy, through that, will be the means of inducing some to investigate the phenomena ; and any assistance or advice will be most readily given to any one desiring the same. Mr Monrad's parting salute, having reference to Christ and Spiritualists shows my, remark has been evidently misinterpreted by him, and I must not open up the question again. I trust that a good feeling has existed all through the correspondence, and no one would regret more than myself that the slightest misunderstanding should exist between Mr.M. and myself. ; Accept my thanks, Mr Editor^ for ■■the space m your columns placed at our disposal; I am, &c. • ft - T.E. Walton.
