Parcels and Goods for all Roadside Stations, Platforms, and Private Sidings must be pre-paid. and will be put out on the Platforms of those stations at the risk of the consignee. Parcels and fGoods from all Roadside Stations, Platforms, and Private Sidings can be made to pay at Wanganui, Aramoho, Waitotara, Waverley, Manutahi, Patea, Fordell, Turakina. Marton, ( Greatford, Halcombe, Feilding. Palmerston, and Foxtcn; and at New Plymouth, Sentry Hill, Waitara, Inglewood, Stratford, Normanby,£J and Hawe 'a. ! The Railway Department does not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of, the Trains at the exact time notified m the above Tables, and m the event of any. circumptances arising either during or prior to the journey being made, which -may render it impossible or inexpedient for the Train to proceed, will return the fares paid, but dues not undertake to forward the Passengers. Any Passenger getting into a train at a Booking station without a ticket, will be charged one shilling ia addition to the ordinary fare. LUGGAGE. — Each passenger is allo^efl to t >ke 1121 bof PERSONAL luggage ; NOT INCLUDING MERCHANDISE of any kind) and for every 561 b above thid weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 miles, ) the charge will be One Shilling. No lugI sage will be allowed to be taken into the 1 Carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under the seat without inconvenience to other Passengers. Passengers are strongly recommended to have their Nam^s and the Station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage and to satisfy themselves that it is placed upon the Train, as the Railway Department will not be responsible uiless it ia booked and paid for. Pass'ngers can be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room m the Train. Children under three years of age travel free ; over three and undei twelve years of age, half-fare. HORSES, CARRIAGES, &c— The Railway Department does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any par* ticular Train ; but when sent they must be at the Forwarding Station baltan-hour before the departure of the Train. Th c owners of Horses must provide means of securing them m the Horse-box, and the • ailway Department will not be accountable for any injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise; nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses. At Country Stations requisitions for Horse-boxes or Carriage- tru-ks must be made the day before they are wanted. DOGS must be provided with chains, I or other sufficient means of securing them. They will not be allowed m carnages aud the sender must obtain a ticket, to be given up before the end of the 3ourney, before the Dog is delivered. RETURN or PERIODICAL TICKETS will not be available tor Special and Excursion Trains, except when the' Ordinary Time Table is suspended. PLATFORMS ONLY— Trains do not etop at these unless required. Notice should be giveu to the Guard at the pre« vious stopping Station. SPECIAL NOTICE : To ensure despatch, Parcels, Extra Luggage, and Dogs must be at the Station at least Thirty Minutes before advertised time of departure J. r. MAXWELL
