(From our own Correspondent.) Nelson, This day. The weather was fine, but the attendance poor. The Handicap Hurdles was won by Bob, the totalisator dividend being L 27 10s. The District Hurdles was won by Early Bird ; dividend Lll 9sr -— =*» The Town Plate, won by First Water ; dividend L29s. Hack Selling Eace — Sham,' Ist; dividend L 2 ss. The sum of L 1465 was passed through the totalisator, which worked splendid.

After a meeting of the stewards, Mr Burrow's Dan O'Connell was disqualified on the ground that the horse: won £i oat Wairarapa. It was decided that Mr Burrow be prevented from running on the Nelson course again, and that the horse Dan O'Connell be disqualified for ever.
