I The Oriental Bank Corporation which suspended payment on the 3rd inst., was compelled to., adopt this course m consequence of the rapid and unexpected withdrawals of deposits at its Eastern branches. An examination, which has been already made, of the available assets, show that depositors will probably receive 17s 6d m the pound, and m the meantime the liquidator will undertake the management of the Company's estates m the Maurit*< ius.
