As considerable curiosity exists regarding the grounds on -which Mr George Thome, jun., has been suspended from his duties as Superintendent of Agents in* the Government Insurance Department we may say that it is understood to be m consequence of the following tele* grams, addressed by Mr Thorne to Mr Joseph Mackay, which have been published by the latter since his committal for trial : — Wellington (to Albury), 24th Jan., 1884.
