In pursuance of " The Regulation of Elections Act, 1881," I, JOSEPH HARRIS, Returning Officer of the Electoral District of Manawatu, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the twentyBeventhday of June, 1884, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs; an Election will he held for the return of one qualified person to serve as membor for the said Electoral Diss trict, and that the nomination ot Candidates will take place at the Town Hall, Palmerston North at Noon on the 16th day of July, 1884; and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling places of the said district on the 22nd day of July, 1884.
