July 8At the inquest on John Beit, who committed suicides the jury returned a verdict that' 'deceased was fPftPd dead with a bullet -wpuntl on his head. It is believed lib be self-in« flicted ; but no evidence to show m what state of mind deceased was m at the time. He had lost L6OO m Te Aro scrip speculations. Deceased was a native of Hamburg.
