In a supplement to the Gazette published to-night are sections of "The Public Health Act, 1876, " defining the powere and duties of local boards of health. There isalso a notification that Government are desirious of obtaining a supply of pure vaccine lymph from the calf delivered at various centres. The proprietor of the Bank Hotel was to-day convicted and fined for supplyiug a bottle of rum to one Thomas Kin? while under the influence of liquor.
