Per Pross Association. CHRISTCHURCH. Sept. 3. Mr T. W. Glover's Blue Ribbon Mission closed last night. The mission has been very successful, and all the meetings were crowded. Four hundred and sixty-nine persons have taken "ihe pledge during Mr Glover's adjourn. INYEKCARGILL. Sept. 8. Mr Cowan, the merr*iber for Hokanui, was burnt m effigy at Gore last night. The proceedings were exceedingly lively, and the police had to interfere to prevent the cremation j taking place m the publio streets. I
