AUCKLAND.
Deo 5. A deputation, which included Messrs Mitchelson and Buckland, M.H.R.'s, waited upon the Minister af Justice urging the inclusion of Kawhia m the district over which the sale of drink is to he prohibited. The Minister said he was under the impression that Kawhia was m eluded, but would telegraph to the Native Minister for information. E. Durant has been committed fur trial on a charge of stabbing Francis Durant, a French seaman.
