We remind the public of the feet that the oratorio of " Paradise " is to be produced m the Forr sterg' Hall this evening by the Wesleyan choir. We may mention that the work has baen composed m two parts, the first openi with a brief recital of the happy Condi* tion of ma* m Paradise, his temptation, fall and expulsion ; thus preparing the way for the regular action of the poem, which commences with the liries, "Cea«.e your lamentations loud, Cease to mourn for Eden s loss !"- The announcement ig then made of the Great Deliverer, whose special work is to restore man to a moial Paradise, and the remainder of this part is occupied with a series of vi«iona-and*pfedic-tions i e' a ing to the Messiah and His advent as a Deliverer. This is given m words s elected from the Old Testament. The first part being thus occupied with predictions, the sacond patfc^ of the Oratorio is devoted to a recital *nd re» presentation of their fulfilment, commencing with Annimcia:ion, and con* eluding with the edoration of thn wise men and shepherds, m conjunction with the Angelic Hoar. Tbe characters represented > are : David, Micah, Mary, Scribe, Isaiab, El'zabeth, Herod, Wise Men, Shepherds and Angels.
