•'-■■, ■ December 29, A bushman named Taylor cut his throat at Kaipara on Saturday. He is not likely to recover. A body was seen floating m the harbor but it has not yet been re* covered. It is supposed to be that of a seaman of the cutter Wangarei, named Patterson who has been missed since the 25th in§t. - A cottage owned by Mr Home, at Narthcote, was burnt to-day. It was insured for £100 m the South *■ British.
