George Thomas reports produce prices as follows : — Grain and Flour — Oats, as usual, m summer months have only slight demand, at prices varying from 3s to 3s 2d for all qualities. Oatmeal is slightly weaker, and lulesfrom Ll4 5s to Ll4 10s, Wheat, milling, no business doing. A fair inquiry exists for good- samples of fowls' f#ed at 2s 6d to 3s, Feed barley dull at 2s 6d. Maize may be quoted at 5s 6d, the mavket being^ almost bare. Beans are steady at 49. Feat remain at last quoted, 3s 6d. Flour of approved quality is -worth L 9. PoUard and bran are if anything a shade lower and offered at L 6 and L 4 10s respectively Dairy, garden, and farm produce — Chetse (new) is steadily inquired fo.* at 6£d per lb ; old samples are becoming unsaleable ; butter (fresh) no demand. 7d fair value; salt may be obt lined from farmers at 7d to Bd, but for another mon h at least the 'c will be no indication of any outside orders coming to h nd. Eggs have fluctuated during the past week, rangiag from Is 4d to Is7d. At present I would not, as a guide to shippers, quote higher than Js 5d as an obtainable rate. Hams and bacon (Canter* bury), firm at lid and lOd. New potutoes should now be -worth L 8; considerable quantities are now earning to haud locally. Melbourne onious, Lls ; New Zealand. Ll3 to LU j gwan peas, 7d per peek. FruitSydney plums, TOs ; New Zealand, 12s; cheiries, 7s to 8s j apples 5o t> 6s per cat* ; currants. 8s 6d to 9s per half.case ; poars, Ss to 8s per half-caao ; oranges, none ; mandarins, IBs to 16b. Poultry— The market has been fairly stocked ; turkeys ruled 14s ; geeae, 6s 6d ; ducks, ss'j and fowls, 4s 6d per pair.
