Importation Of Tramcars.

"Wellington, Last Night

At a meeting of the Wellington Industrial Association to-night, it was resolved to cooperate with the Trades and Labor Council in endeavouring to prevent the further importation by the City Council of tramcars and tramway material which can be manufactured or produoed in the colony.

During the month of June the produce exported from the colony was of the following volume and value :—Butter, 357 cwt, value £1745; cheese, 975 cwt, £2436; beef, 15,867 cwt, £15,475; mutton, 156,766 carcases, £111,889; legs and pieces of mutton, 1894 cwt, £2885; lamb. 216,962 oarcases, £135,612; wheat, 129,299 bushels, £18,437; oats, 48,870 bushels, £4129; potatoes, 70 tons, £472; hemp, 2107 tons, £47,954.

At a meeting of the employees of five Insurance Co's held to-night, a delegate waß appointed to go before the Labour Bills Committee and object to insurance officers being brought under the operations of the Shops and Offices Act.
