Labour Party Social Evening
FEILDING GATHERING There was again a crowded attendance at the euchre and dance' evening arranged by the Feilding branch of the Labour party on Saturday night at the Foresters’ hall. The extra sealing accommodation and tables provided by the Foresters’ Lodge were needed and the thoughtful action much appreciated. In the card competition Mrs. Strawbridge tied with Mrs. Knight lur first position, while in the men's competition Mr. Knight was first and Mr. Simpson second. The ladies’ lucky number competition was won by Miss H. Newall and the men’s by Mr. H. C. Brown. A competition held later in the evening was won by Mr. A. Cawood, of Apiti. The dancing competitions were won by Mrs. Thurston ana partner and Miss Jepson and partner. In connection with the euchre playing prizes for the best aggregate scores on the ten nights’ play were awarded to Mrs. J. H. Evans and Mr. S. Magetts.
