INCREASED COLLECTIONS FOR THE YEAR

The following collections to date for funds of the British and Foreign Bible Society have been forwarded to Bible House, Wellington. The local secretary reports the total for the district as £147 3s Gd due to the energies or honorary collectors and the assistance of those in distributing God’s word:— Central branch. £52 6s; FeaMiorstone street, £4l 2s lOd: Cuba street, £l9 is Gd; West End, £8 os 8d; Terrace End and Whakarongo, £l9 11s; Tiakitakuna, £2 19s; Kairanga, £2; annual meeting, £1 17s Gd. The result is considereu very satisfactory and is a slight increase on last year’s total.
