From the Ladies’ Tees
BRITISH TEAM MAY VISIT AUSTRALIA. A team of four loading British women golfers, with a manager who will act as reserve, may visit Australia for six weeks, beginning in September, 1931 J. Miss Rene Austin, lion, secretary of the Australian Ladies’ Golf Union, has received a cable to that effect from tho English Ladies’ Golf Union. Australia would, tho message stated, liavo to bear all expenses incurred by the team after it landed in Australia.
The proposal is to combine the visit to Australia with one to South Africa. The various State unions have been informed, and a decision on the matter from the Australian end will be made ini the near future. If there is a guarantee that first flight players will make tho trip, the suggestion is well worthy of tho support of the Australian Ladies’ Golf Union, says an Australian writer.
