Picton Murder Case

MOVEMENT FOR A NEW TRIAL. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 7. Mr Parry, counsel for Edward Tarrant, is proceeding to Pieton to-night in connection with proceedings which have been instituted on behalf of Tarrant, who was found guilty of the murder of James Flood. Applications will be made by Mr Parry to the trial Judge, Mr Justice Blair, for leave to apply to the Court of Appeal for a new trial, and for tho Judge to reserve questions of law for consideration by the Court of Appeal.
